Apple seeds are now available to the public after patreon early access. I think patrons cleaned out about half of the cross pollinated stuff. Thanks to some help from friends and family, and a very good bloom period, I have more than ever. Between the cross pollinated stuff and open pollinated, there were 270 options, which is insane. I spent a lot of time this year just extracting seeds. Someone pointed out that with numbers like these we are getting into commercial breeding numbers. There were in the neighborhood of 13k cross pollinated seeds produced. I saved maybe 400 of those, which I’m still not sure I’ll plant, but leaning toward not. The point being that collectively, we have serious numbers, even if we were to assume just a 50% survival rate.

I had to make two apple seed pages in the store to fit them all this year. One page is the cross pollinated stuff. The one other has open pollinated seeds and cross pollinated seeds where one parent was lost track of, but it was something that I chose and pollinated by hand. Within a week, I’ll start filling and shipping orders.
My parents and other older friends remind me once in a while that they have not gotten any notifications of videos or other content for a while. None of them are connected to social media. Which in turn reminds me that I forget to post videos here when I publish them. I did two fun tasting vids this year with friends. I like the format, but it would be much better to have an extra person just shooting video. It is good to have some feedback from someone besides me and it is more entertaining to taste with other people.
