Daffodil, PARTY GIRL, (New Variety)
Daffodil, PARTY GIRL, (New Variety)
Party Girl is my first daffodil release, a yellow split cup flower with attitude. She has a sort of forward momentum look to her, ready to attack good times head on! This is the kind of flower you’d see popping up out of a convertible jeep, ripping down the beach, swinging a bottle of champagne, yelling WOOOOOOO!!!!!
Three of the petals are swept backward and three are more neutral to forward. The cup is split into three very showy sections. All in all, it is a little over-the-top frilly. This is a heavy flower and she will face plant in the rain often due to weight. But she recovers once it dries out, ready to party in the sun again.
Not all daffodils make good, trouble free garden flowers. It appears that Party Girl is rather robust and healthy. She seems to grow well, divide well and bloom prolifically under average conditions. Who doesn’t want a low maintenance party girl to brighten up the place! Wooooo!!!!!!
I have a few Single, Double and Triple nose bulbs available this year. Everything else I dug will be replanted to make more bulbs.
