All Things related to grafting are filed here. Learning to graft is essential for any backyard orchardist or homesteader, because of the amazing versatility it allows. The many grafting videos coming are already well underway, and the plan is to make them very specific and as useable for beginners as I can. Grafting is a huge area of knowledge. My personal knowledge of grafting is not exhaustive by any means, but by absorbing what I'll be offering here, you'll have a solid working foundation in dormant grafting sufficient for most homesteaders and backyard orchardists. You can explore further on your own from there. I find that most people are probably more conservative about grafting than they need to be and hope to influence how people view and practice grafting. My other goal is to just get as many backyard orchardists grafting as possible. It truly is an essential skill. Fortunately, it is also fun and generally pretty easy. The most in depth thing I've put out on grafting so far is this series of video. It is very, very far from complete. Grafting is a huge subject and there are lots of grafts that I've never even done. But most of the information that backyard orchardists, homesteaders and fruit enthusiasts in temperate areas really need to know is covered.
